Global shortages and logistics issues are going to continue to impact on products affecting our every day life for the foreseeable future. Below are some of the key products in fire detection currently affected.
Good news is that due to G2’s diverse portfolio we have some excellent alternatives to help get those projects finished.
Securiton ASD Products
Securiton suffered a double blow last year with not just component shortage but also ABS shortages.
Their latest letter 28-02-2022 has leadtimes for their products at:
- ASD531 28-30 weeks
- ASD532 27-29 weeks
- ASD535 18-20 weeks

Callpoints
KAC are the primary manufacturer of callpoints, so problems in their manufacturing have a wide impact across a whole host of conventional and addressable ranges, including Ziton and Apollo (Aritech).
Their current release as at 7th March 2022, states current leadtime for MCP is 70 working days.
Fireray 5000 Beams
FFE have also suffered and are battling with longer than usual lead times.
We’ve had these beams on order since October 2021, and still waiting for expected delivery date.

Fireray One in stock
With difficulties in getting FFE beams, G2 have ordered extra stock of the easy install Fireray One beam. Watch this space for the new beam with controller due out later this year!
Other products, like Ziton wireless infrastructure are currently delayed too, but are due in by the end of March 2022. At G2 we will do our best to keep you updated with the current problem areas so we can work with you to find the best solutions and ensure your projects continue to run smoothly.
