Important Safety Notice for ZP2

Please be advised 3 specific issues have been identified on ZP2 panels using more than 1 loops and have firmware versions 3.7.10.

All issues can be quickly resolved by upgrading to the new Version 3.7.23B

Wireless notification and wireless output devices connected via RLM/HUB When MCP Is activated there is a potential panel lock for up to 90 seconds, delaying the sounder outputs. Upgrade firmware to Version 3.7.23B
MCPs configured in AVF mode When a MCP is activated it can cause the panel to detect a fault and reboots. After the panel reboot the alarm is reported if the MCP is still active. Ensure MCPs are not set to AVF

Upgrade firmware to Version 3.7.23B

ZP800 Series MCP used When the ZP800 MCP is activated the panel UI freezes (3 mins) and then reboots (5-6 mins) delaying the notification of the alarm by 8-9 mins Upgrade firmware to Version 3.7.23B

How to upgrade zp2 firmware

PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF YOUR PANEL BEFORE DOING ANY FIRMWARE CHANGES

– Download the SYS030723B files from the link below

Version 3.7.23B Download

– Ensure you have a 2 to 4 GB USB stick and format it to FAT32 format

– Create a folder on the USB stick “_Panels” and in that folder another folder “_Update”

– Extract the SYS030723B files into the “_Update” folder created above on the USB stick

– Ensure panel is switched off

– Insert USB stick into USB slot on 2010-2 main board

– Insert JP4 on main board

– Power up panel and follow on screen prompts
