It is a requirement of SANS10139 that all fire panels display fire and fault conditions via a zone LED. This means any ZP2 or 2X panel fitted without a Zone LED card does not meet SANS10139 and therefore does not conform with South African Standards.
The ZP2 and 2X panels are panels made for the global market to EN54 certification. EN54 does not require zone LED’s which is why the panels are sold without an LED card fitted.
